Congratulations!! You just caught an extraordinary brook trout and that same afternoon, you killed your very first black bear while hunting with Yankee Guide Service! What better way to preserve that special moment for the rest of your life than to have your trophies mounted?

So you need a taxidermist. You ask yourself, "What makes one taxidermist better than another? Why should I consider Still Alive Taxidermy?"
We all have stories about some taxidermists taking years to complete work. Oftentimes mounts completed with poor quality and unrealistic characteristics. The worst case scenarios were an item was damaged, destroyed or lost forever.
Still Alive Taxidermy has taken several steps to eliminate these common problems. First of all, virtually 100% of our work is done in our studio. This is accomplished by having all the necessary tools, equipment, and schooling needed to have a full time, full line taxidermy studio.
In 2006 Still Alive Taxidermy added a tanning machine to its arsenal. We now tan all skins and capes in house. This is not a home pickle or rubs on tan, but a high quality commercial tan. This quickens turnaround time by eliminating the shipping and waiting factor that most all other taxidermists have. Also, because our staff is doing the work, quality control is at an all time high. No more damaged capes or loose hair. The fastest highest quality tanning is obtained using this method.
We only use the highest quality materials. Absolutely no corner cuts are allowed. The best quality eyes, forms, and paints are used. These allow the most realistic and live characteristics possible.
Still Alive Taxidermy offers a large variety of taxidermy services. We will do a skin mount or replica for any size and species of fish. Bird mounts of all sizes and legal species from basic tail mounts to full body habitat scenes. We will mount the smallest of mammals to the largest life size specimens including exotic and African species. Still Alive Taxidermy specializes in habitat scenes for the most realistic mounts possible. Other additional services includes mammal rugs, mounting of reptiles and skull cleaning using flesh eating dermestid beetles for museum quality skulls and European mounts.
What may be the single largest factor in your decision to choose Still Alive Taxidermy is the fact that this has become a major aspect of our business. Our goal is to offer the highest quality work at fair prices to give your trophies the respect and honor they deserve. When this is accomplished, you the client is satisfied. Without satisfied clients, we would not be and can not stay in business.
Please take advantage of our services and let your trophies appear STILL ALIVE!!
Thank you, Still Alive Taxidermy
